Regular school attendance  and  punctuality  is  essential if  a child is to take full advantage of the educational opportunities available at school.  If  in  the  event  a  child is ill, a telephone call should be made to the school office on the first day of absence, or you can notify us by filling in the online Absence form.

Since 1st September 2013, schools are no longer allowed to authorise holidays during term time. This includes days off for birthdays or visits to see relatives.  Absence from school has  a  significant impact upon your child’s learning. Remember, the school will no longer authorise absence for holidays. Families will be liable to a fine if their child’s attendance is persistently poor.It  is important that families of school aged children take any holidays during school holidays.
