Today we were able to find England on a world map before we discovered where there is a country called Greece.  We discussed how we might get there – by air, sea or land.  It was particularly exciting because one member of Red Kites class was born there and another Red Kite is named after a Greek goddess!  After describing the Greek flag, our challenge was to work in our Kagan groups to put together a jigsaw of the flag – we loved mixing it up and trying to complete it as many times as we could.  Next, we were lucky enough to have some different types of Greek food to taste – some of us sampled all of them but there were some that we weren’t so sure we wanted to try!  Take a look at the photos of us and see if you can tell by our faces whether we liked: olives, Greek yoghurt, hummus, feta cheese, halloumi and/or vine leaves…
