British Values Day

Friday 22nd April saw us celebrate British Values

Throughout the day we took part in a variety of activities to help us understand more about the United Kingdom and how to respect, tolerate and live together. We had to vote about our favourite activities, this helped us to understand how democracy works.

We made food from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Found out more about the national flowers for each country, watched and learnt traditional dances and made flags. The school council were invited to the civic offices where they met with the Mayor and found out more about his role.

Maypole dancing seemed to be the most popular dance to learn. The day finished with us coming together as a whole school to share an afternoon tea.
